New England/Cape Cod – Local Harvest Cooking Class – Saturday, October 4th
The early colonists gave birth to New England cuisine, which was significantly influenced by the Narragansett Indian cuisine. This New England cooking style continued to evolve into the 19th century as waves of immigrants came from Ireland, Italy and Portugal. In addition, sea captains brought home (then) exotic spices and foods from around the world that are today’s staples. Taking our cue from the sea captains that made Brewster their home port, we have combined flavors and cooking styles from around the world with local ingredients to create a very special holiday harvest meal. We hope that you’ll enjoy creating your Cape Cod feast!
Along with our appetizer’s, you will enjoy a tasting of award-winning local wines from Truro Vineyards, Westport Vineyards and a special treat: Still River Winery’s intensely refreshing Apfel Eis, an award-winning apple ice wine made with Massachusetts apples.
Our Harvest Season Cooking Class is a great way to spend a weekend on the Cape during the month of October. Join us as we experience a culinary experience which includes Ireland, Italy and Portugal! Your 2-night minimum stay will also include 2 gourmet breakfasts. The Saturday afternoon cooking class with a wine tasting in our Parlor and dinner in our amazing dinning room is just an additional $90.00 per person over the room rates and will begin at 2pm on Saturday, October 4th.
We look forward to seeing you!
