Old Manse Inn COVID-19 Update - THE 2021 SEASON IS OPEN!
Updated July 10, 2021
Dear Old Manse Inn Family,
Charlie and Brian hope that this note finds you all doing well and staying safe. We have missed many of you during this pandemic and we are certainly looking forward to seeing and hosting you all once again in 2021!! We subscribe to the idea that we can achieve our best selves here at the Inn by working towards the common good. This includes the safety and well-being of our guests - and our great staff too!
We opened for the 2021 season on May 1st and we cannot wait to host you all once again as the new season gets underway! As vaccinations continue to make progress, we are excited to see you all enjoy a more relaxed stay after the LONG time spent indoors and/or away from friends and loved ones. We will attempt to keep you updated here on any new developments that we become aware of. Here is what we know so far:
The State of MA no longer restricts travelers from high-risk states based upon the level of COVID-19 cases.
There is no longer any MA Travel Form that needs to be completed to travel to, and/or stay in, Massachusetts.
A Travel Advisory has been put in place, effective March 22, 2021, to guide all travelers and returning residents to help keep transmissions of COVID-19 at the lowest levels possible.
Effective Fri., 4/30, Face Masks are no longer necessary in outdoor settings where social distancing can be maintained.
CDC Guidance: Masks are not required indoors or outdoors for those fully vaccinated. However, the State of MA has NOT lifted the restriction at this time. As a business, we will still be requiring face masks inside the Inn and/or when you cannot be socially distant.
Effective Sat., 5/29, Massachusetts expects all industries to be open with all restrictions, including the use of face masks for those fully vaccinated, & capacity limits to be lifted. Those folks that are not fully vaccinated are encouraged to continue using face masks and to continue to practice social distancing.
As of this update, Sat., 7/10, the Delta Variant is accounting for 30% of the new cases in the State of MA. Other states are seeing a much higher percentage of new cases, but this has not affected any travel to Massachusetts.
Brian will continue to work on the Brewster Reopening Advisory Board for as long as the group remains together to communicate any new information to the town, fellow businesses and guests. He will communicate the latest Social Guidelines and available options to all guests as their arrival dates approach. Responses may be requested from each guest regarding preferences for breakfast dining, guest room cleaning, etc. With some creativity, we hope to still provide all of the amenities that you are used to enjoying here at the Inn! We feel that the precautions are the socially-responsible choice and will support a more favorable long-term outcome for the communities and guests that support us.
For those guests are not fully vaccinated (2 shots + 2 weeks), we will continue to encourage those guests to do the following when in common areasu & public spaces:
To cover their face.
To wash their hands.
To maintain social distance.
To be vigilant for symptoms.
If you have any questions or need more details, please reach out directly to Brian at the Inn via email (email@example.com or phone 508-896-3149). We will be monitoring the evolving situation constantly as we move forward so that we can welcome you all for a great stay!
We hope you will join us as we know everyone needs that time away to re-charge after the last year!
