Spring has Arrived

Although the thermometer did not make us feel that spring has arrived, my morning walk to the beach with Maggie did. First I would like to tell you about how inviting the beach is. After Storm Nemo hit Cape Cod we were devastated at how the beach had been transformed to what looked like a war zone. Previous posts showed pictures of debris everywhere and stairs blown apart. Today the Brewster flats were as clean as can be with everyone’s stairs repaired or replaced. Many new fences have been put up and loads of beach sand has been brought in.
This is a picture taken at Breakwater Beach parking lot.

Further along our walk we came across these beautiful little purple flowers.
and I was amazed to see some daffodils already in bloomDaffodils already in bloom
Speaking of daffodils, our Brewster in Bloom weekend will soon be upon us. By the looks of the our daffodils all over Cape Cod some may bloom and and pass before the weekend of April 26. There are always so many beautiful flowers and decorations. Not to mention all the activities. Old Manse Inn will host an open house and this year we are participating in the this years parade. Look for more details in our newsletter.

Old Manse Inn COVID-19 Update

Updated May 20, 2020

Dear Old Manse Inn Family,

Charlie and I hope that this note finds you all doing well and staying safe. We miss you and we are certainly looking forward to our re-opening here soon and being able to see and host you all once again!!  We subscribe to the idea that we can achieve our best selves here at the Inn by working towards the common good.  This includes the safety and well-being of our guests - and our great staff!

At the direction of the state of Massachusetts, we are planning to re-open on Monday, June 8th!  If this date changes for any reason, please check back here for an update.  There are also state & local coalitions working together to detail out any restrictions and/or guidelines that will determine how we re-open so that your stay is safe and comfortable.  We will be communicating those guidelines to all guests as their arrival dates approach.  We are surely hoping that we can still provide all of the amenities that you are used to enjoying here at the Inn as well.  We just may need to provide them to you somewhat differently.  We feel that the precautions are the socially-responsible choice and one that will support a more favorable long-term outcome for the communities and guests that support us.

If you have any questions, please reach out directly to the Inn via email (innkeeper@oldmanseinn.com or phone 508-896-3149). We will be monitoring the evolving situation constantly as the re-opening date approached with the hope that we will be able to open our doors so that we can welcome you all back for a great stay!  In the meantime, we are taking reservations for stays after June 8th and the upcoming Summer & Fall seasons.

Please stay safe and be ready to come see us here on the Cape as soon as things in the world return to normal.

For your recovery and ours, please come visit us this Summer and beyond!
