Our recently renovated Standard guest room with magnificent, mahogany, 4-posted, queen-size bed to the mirrored, antique walnut wardrobe from the Revolutionary War period, you will feel antique charm of Wood End Light. This room, being on the 3rd floor, has the high ceilings that the 2nd floor does not have given the addition of the mansard style roof installed on the house when the 3rd floor was added on. Lots of space in Wood End allows for desk and chairs plus the room’s superb corner view overlooking the Old Manse landscape and quaint New England church only increases the wonderful feeling of this room. Other highlights include a charming in-room sink along with the main private in-suite tiled bath, a warm stove / heater for those chilly evenings outside, brand new Mitsubishi air conditioning, a flat screen cable TV with a DVD player inside the TV itself and a central power center for all charging needs and the conveniences are complete.

Room Availability

I have stayed at several different b+b's at this point, on the Cape and elsewhere, and this is hands down my favorite. Never have I seen a b+b so tastefully kept. We stayed in one of the newer deluxe rooms, and it was beautifully decorated and just plain immaculate. Some b+b's can be pretty frumpy, with the drapes matching the wallpaper matching the bedspread (yuck!), but this one was anything but. Comfy, quiet, relaxing, modern. The common areas were also gorgeous.

Old Manse Inn COVID-19 Update

April 1, 2020

Dear Old Manse Inn Family,

Charlie and I hope that this note finds you all doing well and staying safe. We think we are at our best when hosting and caring about our family, friends and our extended family (all of you!), your stay with us and all that comes with that! This includes your safety and well-being. We subscribe to the idea that we can achieve our best selves by working towards the common good of all of our guests.

In this case, it means that we have made the difficult choice to suspend operations of our Inn at the direction of the state of Massachusetts and therefore will be closed until May 4th. This is not an easy decision for sure, but we feel that it is the socially-responsible choice and one that will support a more favorable long-term outcome for the communities that support us.

If you have any questions, please reach out directly to the Inn via email (innkeeper@oldmanseinn.com or phone (508-896-3149). We will be monitoring this evolving situation constantly with the hope that we will be able to re-open our doors as soon as possible so that we can welcome you all back for a great stay! In the meantime, we are still taking reservations for stays after May 4th and the upcoming Summer & Fall seasons.

Please stay safe and be ready to come see us as soon as things in the world return to normal.

For your recovery and ours, please come visit us this Summer and beyond!
